SUGAR LAND, TEXAS (May 31, 2007) – Planned Community Developers (PCD) today announced Pearle Vision, an optometry practice and eyewear boutique, will open for business this fall in Lake Pointe Town Center, the mixed-use, lifestyle development at the northwest intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and State Highway 6.

Located at 1875 South Highway 6, Pearle Vision will occupy 2,568 square feet of retail space in the Whole Foods®-anchored shopping center currently under construction. The practice is owned by Sugar Land resident Dr. Catherine Ong.

“I have lived in Sugar Land since 1997 and love this community.  I am excited to open in Lake Pointe because of the exposure my business will gain from its prime location,” said Ong. “My practice will emphasize convenience, service and personalized eye care for the whole family.”

Bruce Frankel, director of retail leasing for PCD, represented PCD in the transaction. Dr. Ong represented herself in the transaction.

“Pearle Vision is among many medical providers who are moving into Lake Pointe,” said Frankel.  “This development is ideal for the medical profession and other businesses because it is centrally located in Fort Bend County where so many families are moving into the area.”

Dr. Ong also owns a Pearle Vision in northwest Houston’s Copperfield community.
