Sugar Land Town Square Welcomes Swoozie’s, JoAnn’s

SUGAR LAND, TX (April 7, 2006) – Planned Community Developers (PCD) announces two new retail vendors coming soon to Sugar Land Town Square.

Swoozie’s, a national stationery and gifts shop, recently signed a lease to occupy 5,446 square feet in Sugar Land Town Square. JoAnn’s, a women’s apparel and accessories store, will occupy 4,129 square feet of the property.

“We are excited to add both of these stores to our growing list of retailers, ” said Les Newton, President of Planned Community Developers, LTD. “And I am confident Sugar Land Town Square visitors will be just as thrilled with the new additions.”

Scheduled to open mid-April, Swoozie’s currently has 12 stores located throughout the nation, including an additional Houston-area location in the Woodlands. Dennis Leibovitz of The Retail Connection and Chuck Evans of The Trilogy Group, LLC represented Swoozie’s in the transaction; Bruce Frankel, Director of Retail Leasing for PCD represented the lessor, Planned Community Developers, LTD.

At the present time, JoAnn’s boasts five locations in the Houston area, including a Sugar Land location, which will relocate to Sugar Land Town Square in the fall. Frankel also represented the lessor in this transaction.

Additional tenants of Sugar Land Town Square include P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Bombay/BombayKIDS, Bath Junkie, The Candle House, The Sharper Image, Cafe Express, Annabelle’s, Baker Street Pub & Grill, Ben & Jerry’s, Elizabeth’s Boutique, Eye Trends, Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Jos. A. Bank, Vineyard on the Square, Stuart Rimes, D.D.S., Starbucks, An Albert Luiz Salon & Spa, Ben & Jerry’s, Ann Taylor Loft, Houstonian Lite, Jamba Juice, Japaneiro’s Sushi Bistro and Latin Grill, Z Gallerie, Storehouse, New Balance, J. Hampton and Amici Ristorante.
