CHURRASCOS TO MAKE SUBURBAN DEBUT IN SUGAR LAND’S LAKE POINTE TOWN CENTER

Planned Community Developers, Ltd. (PCD) is pleased to announce that Churrascos, the award-winning South American grill, will soon open its first suburban-area location in Lake Pointe Town Center, the Whole Foods-anchored, mixed-use, lifestyle development at the northwest intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and State Highway 6 in Sugar Land.  Construction is underway on a new building to house the restaurant, scheduled to open fall 2011.

On the list of The 20 Best Steaks in America as featured in Esquire, Churrascos will feature several of Cordúa’s signature dishes, including the award-winning chimichurri-basted Churrasco steak, a charcoal-grilled center-cut beef tenderloin, and the original tres leches dessert, a vanilla cake laced with three sweet creams and topped with a light meringue.  This Churrascos will boast 7,500 square feet of waterfront dining that is sure to delight Sugar Land diners.

“There’s no huge change in the menu, but this location will be our suburban prototype, since it’s the first time Churrascos is going into a suburban market,” Corporate Chef David Cordúa says. “We want to bring the best of Cordúa in a little tighter package.”

Located at 1520 Lake Pointe Parkway, Suite 500, this will mark the third incarnation of Cordúa’s famed Churrascos, with the first two located in River Oaks and The Westchase District of Houston.

Tom Estus of Shelby/Estus Realty Group, Inc. represented Churrascos in the transaction.  Charles Adams, vice president of retail for PCD, represented PCD.  For more information regarding Churrascos and further developments visit Cordua.com.  For a full list of Lake Pointe Town Center shops and restaurants visit LakePointeTexas.com.
