SUGAR LAND, TX (August 31, 2007) – Thousands of people gathered on the Plaza of Town Square last Saturday to cheer on their favorite contestant in the final round of the 2007 Sugar Land Superstar competition. At the end of the night, judges awarded the Sugar Land Superstar title to Rosenberg resident Julio Arriola. Finishing first runner up was Derek Brotherton; second runner up was given to Jennifer Obeahon.

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS (May 14, 2007) – Sugar Land Town Square is gearing up to kick off its second Sugar Land Superstar competition this summer. The American Idol-like competition will result in one contestant being named the new Sugar Land Superstar in August.
Open auditions will be held on Wednesday, June 6, in the Plaza of Sugar Land Town Square. Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m. and auditions will be held from 5:30 – 8 p.m. Contestants must be at least 14 years of age and reside in Fort Bend County. Entrants must sing without musical accompaniment and should be prepared to sing for 60-90 seconds.

physicians from St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System.
SLTS launched their “Get Healthy and Stay Healthy in 2007” program in January in an effort to help
Sugar Land retain its title as the “Fittest City in Texas”.* Through this program, Sugar Land residents not only
have the opportunity to become physically fit, but also have a chance to win a complete makeover from select
