Senior Living Facility Completes Lake Pointe Town Center Master Plan

(Sugar Land, TX) August 20, 2009 – Tradition Senior Living, LP recently announced its plans to develop a full-service retirement community in a resort-style setting in Sugar Land, Texas. The Tradition-Sugar Land will be the first Continuum Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in southwest Houston and eastern Fort Bend County and will incorporate accommodations for independent and assisted living residents, including those needing memory care.

The gated community will be located just off Highway 6 between U.S. Highway 59 and Texas Highway 90A in the master-planned community of Lake Pointe Town Center, a mixed-use development in First Colony. Planned Community Developers, Ltd., developer of First Colony, a 9,700-acre master planned community located in Sugar Land, will sell Lake Pointe West to Tradition pending approvals by the City of Sugar Land.

GREATER HOUSTON ROWING CLUB CELEBRATES NEW BOATHOUSE

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS (July 15, 2009) – Planned Community Developers, Ltd. (PCD) in partnership with the First Colony Community Association  (FCCA) and Greater Houston Rowing Club (GHRC) recently broke ground on a new boathouse.  The boathouse will be located along Brooks Lake in Lake Pointe Town Center in Sugar Land, where the GHRC has been actively rowing since 1988.

“We’re thrilled to be breaking ground on a new boathouse,” said GHRC President Kerry Whitehead. “This will allow the club to expand our membership and to introduce the sport of rowing to many who have never given it a try.”

ECO-FRIENDLY DENTAL PRACTICE MOVES TO LAKE POINTE VILLAGE THIS SUMMER

SUGAR LAND, TX (November 20, 2008) Zounds, a retail store specializing in hearing aid sales and demonstrations, recently opened its doors in Lake Pointe Town Center, the mixed-use, lifestyle development at the northwest intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and State Highway 6.

Charlie Adams, vice president of retail for Planned Community Developers, Ltd. (PCD), represented PCD in its lease of the 1,536 square-foot-space at 1865 South Highway 6, Suite 120. Steven Thomas of Staubach Retail represented the tenant.

SUGAR LAND, TEXAS (August 28, 2007) – Planned Community Developers (PCD) today announced Potbelly Sandwich Works, LLC, will open for business in Lake Pointe Town Center, the mixed-use, lifestyle development at the northwest intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and State Highway 6.

From its humble beginnings as a small antique store, Potbelly has grown from one to more than 160 company-owned and -operated stores. Potbelly’s unique experience is defined by its combination of oven-toasted sandwiches, hand-dipped shakes, tasty made-to-order salads, live local music, as well as friendly and lively people.
